I can’t believe I’ve been working on the show for a year and a half and haven’t posted any fan art! This is my first time drawing the characters, so I spent most of the time ignoring my regular duties for this piece (background art).
Cheers to all the great folks who work on the show!
Order the 11x14 print now!
Unless I’m mistaken this is some brilliant fanart for ‘Her,’ the latest Spike Jonze joint.
Art by the ever talented Rickey Tickey.

I just finished a project for my first Skillshare class - Lettering for Designers: One Dropcap Letterform at a Time taught by the amazing Jessica Hische! The project was to take a book and design a single dropcap based on it, the way she has done/is doing for the Penguin Dropcaps series.
So… I ended up doing four. Initially I was going to do a dropcap for Oryx and Crake, Lirael, and Jitterbug Perfume and decided to begin with Lirael. Then I thought of doing Sabriel, Lirael, and Abhorsen to finish the trilogy, and also did sketches for the short story “Nicholas Sayre and the Creature in the Case” and the upcoming prequel Clariel. In the end Nicholas didn’t make the cut, so I stuck to the novels. And these are the results!
NNNG THESE ARE SO GOOD read the books and follow Kevin.
Just got the go-ahead to reveal a project a finished in the middle of this year - my cover for Adventure Time #24! I’m a massive fan of the show and I watch it with my little brother every week, so it is a huge honor to be a part of some facet of AT! This is Alternate Cover C, and will be released on 1/15/2014!
This piece was an interesting experiment with cut-paper and watercolor to create that dappled light effect. Similar to what I’d done for the Scorsese portraits actually. I may do a process post for this because I did a couple tests and got pretty obsessive with the planning (even by my standards).
Also, shout-out to Kris Mukai who hooked me up with Boom! Ridiculously awesome of you, Kris! (and I still owe you a thank-you piece, haven’t forgotten!)
Paid fanart, but still. SO good.

A new drawing based on a scene from The Hobbit, for Gallery Nucleus’s upcoming “Out of the Shire” exhibit.
I like the dwarves a lot. Part of the reason is that they are, most of the time, woefully unprepared for this huge quest they’re on.
